Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer (1 Post) – Engaging and Supporting Fathers: A Parenting Intervention to Improve Early Child Development in Tanzania.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and continuous improvement of program monitoring tools and data collection methodologies.
  • Organize, compile, and merge spreadsheets to create one overall dataset of process indicators.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks to maintain the reliability of data.

Qualifications:

  • Direct experience in an M&E role on prior research studies, including community-based programs, implementation research, and qualitative evaluations.
  • Prior experience working on a social and behavior change intervention project relating to early childhood development, parenting, and family health, development, and wellbeing is desirable.
  • Experience with collecting various forms of data, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observation. 
  • Proficiency in Excel and using tablet-based applications for data collection (e.g., KoBoToolbox, REDCap, SurveyCTO).
  • Experience developing monitoring tools from scratch within KoBoToolbox/REDCap/SurveyCTO is desirable. 
  • Strong analytical skills to manipulate data, create data visualizations, and effectively interpret data that can be used to guide program quality improvement. 
  • Ability to write clear and concise data reports that communicate findings and key programmatic recommendations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Swahili and English.
  • Highly self-motivated individual with the ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
